Terms for evidence-led freight review.
Last updated September 25, 2026. These terms describe the CargoMends product and the responsibilities that apply when an organization uses the workspace.
1. Product scope
CargoMends is a freight-invoice audit and recovery workspace. It can accept freight invoices and supporting records, extract structured fields, identify supported potential discrepancies, show evidence and missing evidence, support human review, prepare dispute materials, and track dispute and recovery status.
2. Customer responsibility
Customers are responsible for the files they upload, their authority to use those files, the accuracy of their business rules and supporting records, and the decisions they make from the workspace. Customers should review findings and source evidence before contacting a carrier or recording a recovery.
3. Human review and external actions
CargoMends assists review; it does not replace customer judgment. The workflow does not autonomously approve payments, make legal determinations, negotiate with carriers, or submit disputes without explicit human approval. Customers remain responsible for sending any dispute and meeting any applicable deadline.
4. Evidence and limitations
Findings depend on supported charge types, available documents, extraction quality, and configured rules. A suspected or approved amount is not a confirmed recovery. A confirmed recovery should be recorded only when the customer has evidence such as a credit memo, refund, remittance, or equivalent confirmation.
5. Customer data
The application uses organization-scoped access checks, role permissions, preserved source files, extraction provenance, and activity history for important workflow actions. The customer’s privacy and data-handling practices are described in the Privacy policy. Additional retention, deletion, security, or data-processing commitments may be included in a signed order form or data-processing agreement.
6. Fees, trials, and cancellation
Plans and monthly prices are shown on the public pricing page and in the applicable Paddle checkout. The checkout controls the final taxes, trial presentation, payment details, and subscription record. Cancellation and refund requests are described in the Refund policy.
7. Founding Paid Pilot
Where offered and accepted in writing, the Founding Paid Pilot costs USD $750 as a one-time fee and covers an agreed sample of up to 50 historical freight invoices from one or two agreed carriers. The customer provides the invoices, rate agreements or quotes, and relevant shipment records. The review covers duplicate charges, rate mismatches, and unauthorized accessorial charges. Every potential finding is reviewed by a human and linked to supporting evidence; dispute-ready documentation is prepared for customer review.
Delivery is due within 14 calendar days after CargoMends receives the complete agreed document set. The customer approves every dispute and carrier communication. The fee pays for processing, human review, and delivery of the audit result and remains payable even when the sample contains no credible discrepancy or recoverable overcharge. No savings or recovery is guaranteed. No recovery fee applies during the pilot.
If the same organization completes and pays for the pilot, then continues to Starter, CargoMends applies the full USD $750 once against that organization’s first Starter subscription charge. The credit cannot be transferred or reused. The normal Starter recovery fee applies only after conversion and only to eligible recovery activity under that subscription. Pilot findings and pilot-origin recoveries are not recovery-fee eligible. Completed pilot results remain available according to the application’s historical-data policy.
8. No professional or legal advice
CargoMends does not provide legal, tax, accounting, or insurance advice and does not determine carrier liability. Customers should obtain professional advice where appropriate.
9. Contact and business identity
For product, billing, privacy, or account questions, contact support@cargomend.com. CargoMends is the product name. In these terms, “we,” “our,” and “us” refer to the operators of CargoMends. The formal registered entity name, registered address, company number, and governing-law details are pending and should be added when finalized. Any negotiated service commitments belong in a signed order form or subscription agreement.
